Finally, the stills from my video! I tried printing them before but I thought they looked shitty in 8x10. Wish I had known then that everything looks good small with negative edges. I could have had them in the Art Matters show too with my video :(

Expulsion
Finally! I have completed a screen print I'm actually happy with! My goal was effectiveness with simplicity, and I achieved it. This print is 5 layers, but two layers were used twice. There's a lot of black ink on black paper going on, and what might not be too apparent from the scan is that I used gloss. Gloss is the best thing ever invented. I made 60 copies cuz it's for this print exchange between Concordia and Emily Carr so that's stealing 44 of them away from me. I am a printing machine!
The subject matter is an idea I've had for like two years, conceived in Central America or Spain, I forget. I was waiting for the appropriate medium and composition to undertake it and I've previously done several spin offs of it. That's the story.

Time Stealers
This is inspired by the children's book, Momo by Michael Ende (the author of The Never Ending Story). In the book, this town is taken over by these men in gray, entirely gray, from skin to cigar. The people of the town don't notice them but they steal all their time and turn the village people into mindless drones who don't enjoy life at all. The only person who is resistant to them is Momo and she obviously saves the day. This was a test, and it worked really well, so I'm gonna print out more of them and make really long strings of them down some streets. I was gonna screen print it but I digitally printed it as an excuse for a project for my digital print class. Digital print is such a cop out, it was so easy!
