Window Pain

This was my much anticipated holiday project that met a sad sad end. It fell down in my hallway where I had temporarily placed it and shattered in one corner. I was going to work on it more, I was thinking about adding in some fluorescent spray paint, but now I feel a little sad and discouraged.

Isn't Materialism Great?

I did this photo shoot for my final photo project of the semester. We had to ''control'' light so I kinda was supposed to use studio lighting. It was a big pain in the ass. I also used a medium format camera which also caused me pain in the rear area. But, it did all result in good quality photos. This isn't really meant to be a critique, but more of a ridicule and embracement.

She's Come Undone

This is my newest silk screen for school. I decided to suck it up and try out ''nice'' paper but I kinda like the manilla copy better. I made a couple on ''shitty paper'' so I can wheat paste them in the spring. I'm having trouble with backgrounds lately so I made tons of copies of this piece (26) and I'm gonna experiment with them. These and some more of my stuff is actually in the VA Building Gallery at Concordia for the 50/50 Print Sale and I actually sold two copies of these today!

These are the first film photos I have taken since the digital age began for my photo class. I developed them myself in the colour dark room.

''Securite'' at the Antique Market. Pretty funny.

This lady was amazing. The doll on her right looks like her.

I saw this kid three times in a week and he was always wearing the same thing. He works at the food counter.

Key Disaster

This is my latest attempt at silk screening. This is actually version two. In the first version I hated my colour choices so much I cut it up into business cards. I redid the whole thing but I still kinda hate the result. Obviously I don't hate it enough not to post it, so here it is. It was actually supposed to be a triptych but I'm so frustrated with it that I give up for now. I included a couple of variations with less layers because I do really like the line drawing. I just need to work on how to compose it as a finished piece. I'm open to suggestions in case I'm ever crazy enough to go for attempt three (and the triptych).
